Luke Medical Group Laboratory is happy to provide a wide variety of diagnostic laboratory tests to active duty service members and TRICARE beneficiaries. We maintain the highest quality standards while providing the most accurate and cost effective testing available. 

Lab Tips 

To better serve you, please keep these tips in mind:  

• Until further notice, the Laboratory will only be accepting walk in patients.
• Prescriptions must be dropped off, faxed, or emailed two business days before appointment.  
• Standing (multiple appointment) prescriptions must be called in and activated two business days before appointment.  
• Orders must contain patient’s name, date of birth, provider’s name and signature, phone number, fax number, and ICD/DX codes.  
• All patients must have a valid test order before collection. Tests ordered by Luke MDG providers are valid for 60 days.  
• A copy of test results will be faxed to an off-base provider once completed. You must provide the fax number to your provider when sending in lab requests. Please allow 14 days after completions.  
• Being properly hydrated will help with a successful sample draw.  
• For fasting labs, please don’t eat or drink (water is allowed) for 8-12 hours before your appointment. Unless the provider gives other instructions, patients should continue taking their medications, as prescribed, before having blood drawn.  
• Confidence checks ordered by PCM/clinic must make a lab appointment: 
• Military Med/Flight Med – use sick call, secure messaging, or call the appointment line to request STI tests, then make lab appointment. 
• Family Health/Peds/Internal Medicine – use secure messaging or call the appointment line to request STI tests, then make a lab appointment.  
• Specialized tests are shipped to outside facilities and can take 7-10 days to process.  
• Please be prepared to provide a urine specimen.  
• Pending labs can be reviewed by checking the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal before coming to the laboratory.  
• Results can be accessed by logging on to the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal or through the medical records department at 623-856-7510. The laboratory doesn’t print or discuss patient results.
