The patient travel program is available to TRICARE Prime enrollees referred by their primary care manager for medically necessary non-emergency specialty care more than 100 miles from the referring military treatment facility. Reimbursement may be for reasonable travel expenses, including transportation, lodging, and meals (local per diem rates apply).
