The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

If you have a scheduled appointment or other business at the MTF, please verify with your provider or applicable office within the MTF to ensure there are no changes in schedule. To learn how the lapse in appropriations affects your TRICARE benefit, visit www.tricare.mil/shutdown

Patient and Family Partnership Council

Volunteer to become a patient and family advisor on our Patient & Family Partnership Council!

What is the PFPC?

The Patient and Family Partnership Council captures the voices and insights of patients and families to improve the care experience by elevating to leadership any current or chronic issues to make positive changes within the 56th Medical Group. The PFPC is a council comprised of patient advisors who work in collaboration with our facility members to enhance the quality of care and patient experience.

Advisors are asked to give feedback about their experiences as a patient/family member and help plan changes to improve how we care for patients. Patient/family advisors provide a voice that represents all patients and families of patients who receive care at the 56th Medical Group.

Is being a patient and family advisor right for you?

We are looking for volunteers who can:

  • Speak up and share suggestions and potential solutions to help improve care
  • Talk about your experiences as a patient or family member—but also think beyond your own personal experiences
  • Talk about both positive and negative care experiences and share your thoughts on what went well and how things could have been done differently

Your Voice Matters!
