Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment (ADAPT)
The primary objectives of the Luke AFB ADAPT program is to promote readiness, health, and wellness through the prevention and treatment of substance abuse, and to minimize the negative consequences of substance abuse to the individual, family and organization.
Who We Serve
ADAPT provides services primarily to active duty military members and National Guard/Reserve members on Title V orders.
Services Provided
- Educational outreach
- Preventative brief counseling
- Evidenced-based outpatient treatment
- Referral for inpatient detoxification/treatment
Warning signs of problematic substance use:
- Negative impact on relationships with friends and/or family
- Used to cope with stress or mood
- Decreased work or school performance
- Increased tolerance
- Loss of memory
- Physical and/or mental health problems
- Legal problems
- Drinking more alcohol than planned
- Frequent hang-overs
- Planning activities around alcohol use
- Difficulty refraining from drinking
How to Seek Services
Self-Referral
An individual self-identifies to the ADAPT clinic requesting services.
Medical Referral
Made by medical personnel (PCM or specialist).
Command Referral
Unit commander will refer an individual when substance use or misuse is suspected to be a contributing factor in any misconduct, or whenever a problem with substance use or misuse impacts performance, health or welfare is suspected.
